A jaw-dropping late midcentury drum chandelier made in Italy featuring dozens of Murano art glass panels in three texture variants: graniglia (applied glass frit), avventurino (gold leaf), and fumato (smoke effect). This elegant and impactful work of art was likely first designed in the very late 1970s - early 1980s. The glass panels could be assembled as we have displayed, or in a continuous overlap all the way around. The streamlined shape is granted an organic feel by the variety of textures and the warm, shimmery glow within, making this a surprisingly versatile piece that would fit as well in brutalist-inspired or post modern surroundings as easily as it would a full-blown MCM scheme! We couldn't find a design attribution, but near identical chandeliers are currently available for purchase at $9,200 and $11,400.
