Afromosia (African Teak)

$ 10.00/BF

New stock 4/4 Afromosia. Sometimes referred to as African teak, though not closely related to genuine teak . Compared to teak, afrormosia has similar weight and strength, nearly comparable rot resistance, and a similar appearance (though some pieces can be a yellower golden brown and more closely resemble satinwood, especially when freshly sawed). Afrormosia is a lower-cost alternative to genuine teak. Still a pricey wood to source, retails for $16+ per board foot at the local exotic wood importer. 1530 Janka hardness rating... that is pretty hard!!! This is a bulk item. No holds please. BF is written on each board, sold as a board. Lengths are mostly 12ft.
