A stylish late art deco radio made by Zenith circa 1947! This model, No.6G004Y, picks up both short wave and AM signals. Here's a page where you can read about it if you like that sorta thing! It did power up when we plugged it in and picked up some AM stations after a little warm up. That being said, we highly recommend at least rewiring the unit if you aren't planning a full restoration. I wore shock resistant gloves and would not have plugged it in without PPE... Them old plugs be scary! The case is in fair condition, with some frayed edges and a few loss patches. Has housing for a battery pack but no battery (probably for the best). Zeniths of this era were considered radio royalty and this will be an awesome project with a good head start!
