1980's Oak mirror that just received a face lift prior to its arrival here at Second use. The oak frame was sanded smooth and then stained with a custom solution of vinegar and steel wool. The steel wool (iron) reacts with the tannins in the wood and naturally turns it black due to oxidization. Simple every day materials repurposed in a very cool way! The mirror itself is in excellent condition, free of cosmetic damage. The wood has been sealed in a natural oil/wax blend and the frame is sporting fresh hanging hardware, ready to install.
