Vintage Heywood-Wakefield China Hutch

$ 495.00

A sweet and stylish china hutch made by Heywood Wakefield that nicely blends art deco and the budding midcentury modernism of the 1950s! Rounded corners for daysss! While some feel that painted furniture is a crime, we think that this one was done in good taste - I mean, that soft buttermilk white paired with the grooviest brick red ceramic knobs I've ever seen? Are you kidding me?? I suspect the makeover happened sometime in the mid-late sixties. It would've originally had sliding glass doors on the top display (you can get these replaced - many auto glass shops can cut glass to size), but otherwise this darling seems to be in great shape. The top and bottom are separate, making it /much/ easier to load in your car and move through your skinny apartment hallways!
