Antique Beet Slicer

$ 150.00

This is an antique beet/turnip slicer made to prepare those veggies to be eaten by cows who for some reason wouldn't eat them unless they were sliced. I am going to estimate this was made sometime in the mid to late 1800s. Set in a wooden frame, the mechanism is driven manually with a hand crank that spins the slicing disk that holds 6 slicing blades. The hopper is made from cast iron and looks to be in good condition.
