French Copper Pot

An interesting little copper pot with a chain and a handle through the middle that I have no idea it's true purpose. Handle says "Hugonnet-Dijon" which is a French company famous for metal milk containers. Seems to be real copper and is also pleasing to the eye if nothing else.
