’62 Robert Flynn Carved Exterior Door

$ 195.00

This exterior door made of clear fir and bolted iron was said to be carved by PNW & HI artist Robert Flynn (b. 1930). It's marked 1962 in Roman numerals on the interior and has a wavy carved design on the outside under the greenish paint or stained finish. The door has seen a bit of weather and some scratches from a dog wanting back in the house. It might need a few carriage bolts and nuts to completely resecure the bottom steel plate. The door was once fitted with J hook weather stripping and bored later for a deadbolt lock. The key for the mortise lock key cylinder is attached at one of the hinge cutouts. It's a unique door that could have it's size altered, at least smaller, with some work since it's constructed of solid wood and the iron plates. Note door thickness is a little more than the usual exterior door.
