A piece of old-world residuum, this is an automatic trouser press and stretcher, with a somewhat anonymous construction. There is a maker's plate on the top that reads "P & S The Majestic," but searching this did not return anything useful for identification. Some elements of its construction, such as the abundance of flathead screws and the construction style of its plywood base, lead me to believe that this piece may be an antique, or at the very least near-antique. While you may hot use this to press and stretch any of your trousers, it could be a great piece for a collector of historic effluvium or gift for the cottage-core homesteader in your life!
