Imagine a telegraph that could send hand drawn images. That's what this is! It's the ancestor of the modern fax machine. While the first telescribers were built in the late 1800's, this one is likely from the 20th century, however we can't date it more accurately than that. But you can probably find out with a bit of research. Pretty cool piece of history!
