Vintage Hofbauer West Germany Dragon Water Pitcher

This rather regal lead crystal water pitcher was made in the 1950s for Hofbauer of West Germany. The decorative patterns on this pitcher are quite unusual and attractive, exhibiting the midcentury fascination with Asian ornament. The stars, of course, are the 3 intricate, curling dragons highlighted with sanguinous red flashing! It's in overall excellent condition, with no flaws that I can discern. This would be a great find for collectors of West German goods, fantasy/dragon enthusiasts, Asian-inspired decor, or crystal collectors looking for a truly unusual and hard to find piece!
