Vintage tin wind up toy set by German toy maker Markes & Co, founded by Karl Markes. This is their Auto-Dux series which was a set where you could fully assemble your own customizable VW vehicle. This set includes a plastic VW beetle shell from West Germany era. It even still winds up and runs forward or reverse, just doesn't come with a wind up key. The plastic is pretty delicate at this point and has some cracks to the shell, so definitely more of a display piece, but still very cool!
