This is a striking 6' tall cedar gate made from cedar which has been roasted/charred in a process called "shou sugi ban", a traditional Japanese process. It protects the wood from pests and rot and allows the wood to last longer in the weather, as well as adding a layer of fire protection. This gate comes with two heavy duty strap hinges and a latch.
