Japanese Bronze Kagami (Mirror)

This cast brass (or bronze) plate is actually a Japanese Kagami, which is intended to be used as a mirror when the smooth side is polished to a shine. The opposite side features cranes, trees, and two Japanese characters. It has a lovely aged patina all around. 18th & 19th century examples of these sell in the hundreds of dollars! Luckily for you, I believe this one is a 20th century reproduction.
