This vanity ticks almost every box you could hope for from an early 20th century piece: fine solid wood construction (looks like cherry or walnut with attractive burl panels on the drawer fronts), ornate brass hardware, bakelite casters, an array of mirrored panels to amplify pre-electric lighting - and, of course, stunning carved accents on the doors, trim, and mirror tops! The brass pulls are reminiscent of the waning "aesthetic" movement, while the carvings reflect the growing popularity of the art nouveau movement. The central mirror is missing part of the swivel hardware and needs to be re-silvered - price reflects these issues, even though we think the flame-like effect of the remaining silver backing looks insanely cool! This beauty retains its original finish, which is in pretty stellar condition overall.
