Antique Walnut Bar Back
$ 1595.00
A rather stately buffet-cum-bar back in rich walnut with beveled mirror back and fine detail everywhere you look! It's got elements of Eastlake and neoclassical styles, likely dating to the early 1900s. Overflowing floral urns adorn the crown and lower doors, with turned legs and ball finials at every corner. The upper cabinets have beveled, divided glass doors and unique brass hardware that brings a hint of Tudor revival into this transitional piece! At the center is a fabulous vintage brass sink with fluted bowl and paddle-handled faucet, both patinated to perfection.
The piece is in beautiful condition overall, having obviously been well cared for in the last 125-ish years! There is a minor veneer chip on the right hand edge, and it appears that the towering top may have taken a hit from a low doorway at some point as the topmost urn finial is missing and the carved panel has a repaired crack (seems sturdy enough and isn't noticeable at a glance). This grande dame will make a stunning bar back in a restaurant/watering hole, or even a large dining room!
