Giant sign letter boxes from a BMW dealership. Steel boxes, the florescent lights are toast but it wouldn't be difficult to install modern LED strips. Unfortunately the plexiglass faces did not survive but you could have new ones cut. Can also just be used as-is with the back faces faced out.
