This fir 4x8 looks a little weathered, but still solid. It would be perfectly usable as a beam IF it didn't have notches cut out of it for joining it to another beam. It doesn't look like it was painted or finished with anything, which would make it a great beam to cut up for use in a raised bed. Item may have cosmetic damage.  Photo may be representational.
