We are fairly certain this uniquely shaped, dense live edge slab is chestnut. It's fairly weathered on one side, but beneath the graying surface is a wildly stunning piece of wood waiting to be unearthed. There is a burly section at the center, breaking up the caramel toned grain a little dramatically. This would be make a breathtaking piece of wall art once finished, but you could really run creatively wild and make something spectacular with this.
