1930s Kitchen Ceiling light
$ 175.00
A sweet dual opacity shade with a slight purple tinge hangs from a NOS chrome 2 bulb base on this cute flush mount kitchen ceiling light. The purple hue is because of the Manganese dioxide that was used to make clear glass so clear. It was used up through the 1920s when selenium became the common clarifying agent, but some companies still had excess to use up, so there are a few that you'll find from the 1930s, such as this one.
