Pr. of ’60’s Kuan Su Brass Side Tables by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne
$ 3495.00
Acid etched in brass and pewter, then buried in soil to accomplish the perfect patina, these mid-century side tables made in the 1960s by father-son duo Philip & Kelvin LaVerne feature a delicate bamboo design with underlying Kawung motif (overlapping circles).
We identified these tables using google lens and quickly realized we came across a diamond in our rough and tumble world of salvage. This pair of Kuan Su ("forgiveness") brass side tables have sold at auction for well over $4k; there are some of the same tables available on 1st dibs for $20k. Here's your chance to pick up a pair for far less.
