When I first plugged in this vintage General Electric Model RPX-472GR-A GRAY portable record player, I could hear one speaker humm and make a little static, but I couldn't seem to get the turntable going. When I swept off a little of the dust behind the speaker while I had it plugged in, all the sudden the arm moves over to the turntable and drops (there's no needle on it). It runs across the turning table and moves back like it's supposed to and repeats the process. There might be a loose wire or maybe I just didn't have the mojo going when I first plugged it in.
