An absolutely gorgeous late 19th Century chandelier with loads of glass beads, crystal icicles, frosted shades, and four dragon heads! It was originally both wired for electricity and plumbed for gas. The upwards facing shades had been gas, while the downward facing, the electricity. All have been rewired and use standard bulbs. There are some small chips in some of the shades, but I think it could be said for all of us, that at age 125, we'll all have a few chips to speak of! The glass beads, and the shades all contain manganese, so they not only have a slight purple tint, but they also will glow a faint green when exposed to a UV365 lamp! Restored in our on site light repair workshop!
