Single Glass Knob c.1850s

$ 45.00

A single glass knob from the mid to late 1800s. It has both sides to it's spindle. These would have been in mansions, as the wealthy were the only ones who could afford to have glass doorknobs back then. The glass has quite a bit of manganese oxide in it (that was used to make glass clear) so it glows a lovely green under UV 365nm light!
