Thank you to everyone who brought in their used latex paint for Second Use’s one-weekend paint collection event. In just two days, we salvaged 756 gallons of paint! We have since distributed it to the King County Sheriff’s Office for a graffiti-removal program in White Center, to the Environmental Coalition of South Seattle (ECOSS) for a spring mural, and toReed Painting Company, which is continuing its innovative efforts for paint salvage. The event earned news coverage on the White Center Now blog, KIRO-FM and KING-TV. Check out the TV clip below.
Second Use has no definite or immediate plans for another paint collection event. However, we would like to do it again. If and when we do, we’ll announce it through the newsletter. Stay tuned!
