Locally milled from an heirloom Maple tree in Tukwila that was on the golf course. Has cured in dry storage for over a decade. The tree had been storm damaged too many times over the years and had to be taken down. The whole tree was incredibly figured and some areas developed crazy spalting. At the time it was the oldest Maple in Tukwila. A few large slabs were used to make the dining hall tables at two Tukwila fire stations. An amazing amount of figure including a crotch spine and tons of cool spalting. Tapers in width from 20" to 10".
