At first glance, this looks like a rather uninspiring, beige Hon file cabinet with nothing to offer but functionality. However, this file cabinet is actually incredibly handsome underneath the sad beige finish. It was manufactured by the All Steel Equipment (A.S.E.) Company out of Aurora, Illinois and features the solid brass hardware that comparably aged file cabinets often wear. It was originally painted dark green, which you can still see inside each of the smoothly gliding drawers.
