Iconic Neon “Forklifts” Sign

A longstanding part of the landscape on Airport Way, this vintage neon sign is both a glorious stand alone piece and an icon of South Seattle history. On each side, in the warmest shade of red, beams a message we can all get behind. "FORKLIFTS". It's bold, it's timeless, and, after decades in its original home, it's ready to illuminate a whole new space. The tubes are all in tact and the transformer was recently replaced, allowing this beauty to shine just as brilliantly as the day it went up. We're guessing it dates back to the 1960s, but it's possible that it could reach back to the 1950s.
