Ellsworth Storey Window Sash
$ 145.00
This hefty vintage fir sash was thankfully salvaged from a local home designed by architect Ellsworth Storey. With eight vertical lites surrounding two uniquely pointed ones, this certainly fits with the notable chalet-esque style of his cottages on Lake Washington. This is generously painted and in need of refinishing. The glazing, too, needs to be redone and there is some gentle separation happening in the corners of the frame. However, this is certainly a piece that's worth refurbishing if you appreciate its historical significance and are willing to commit some time and energy towards fixing it up. Perhaps its next life could be as the shining star of your greenhouse or a half wall room divider - regardless, please let us know how you use it by sending pictures to [email protected]!
