The finish is wearing just a little on this well over hundred year old "Davenport Desk" according to the receipt dated "July 6, 1976" at Johnson's Antiques in Shelbyville, Missouri. They sold it to someone for $575. It's a cool piece with a lift up, leather covered top and four dovetailed drawers that pull outward from the right side. One of the drawers is quite small (possibly for pens). It's on small casters, which still roll fairly well. Seems like a piece the Keno brothers would have lost their $#!^ over back in the day, but would probably get the woop/woop sad song from 2009 prices to present on the Antiques Roadshow.
