Vintage “Profit Maker” Meat Slicer
$ 145.00
A beautiful piece of culinary history, this is a Model 52 meat slicer by the American Slicing Machine Company, nicknamed the "Profit Maker," and while I wasn't able to source an exact time of manufacture, these slicers were produced during the 1930s and into the 1940s. With heavy cast iron construction making up the base and encasing the mechanics and motor, this baby has a beautiful dark green paint job that complements the brass plaques on the front and back sides of the slicer. The lever to shift the cut's thickness broke off, but it is included (it looks to me like it could be relatively easily soldered back on). We're selling this as decor, and although the supplier said it still functions, you'd definitely want to take it apart to fully clean it and maybe even replace the blade. I've heard claims that this website here may still keep parts for this model in stock if you do decide to do a restoration. If you do, send us some pictures of the finished result at [email protected] !
