This vintage solid fir column is one heck of a chunk of wood. It stands just shy of 9' tall and has a clean square shape with subtle trim on one end. It's got about as many layers of paint as it could possibly have, but underneath it all is a beautifully column or beam waiting to be revealed. There is a bit of rot on one end that should be trimmed and the rest of this does show some wear from edge. There are some significant chips, a few splits near the end, and no shortage of screw holes. Snag this diamond in the rough and give it another shot at a great life.
