Coal Miner’s Carbide Lamp
$ 65.00
A vintage piece of history, this is a carbide lamp that coal miners (and presumably other miners) would hook onto their helmets for lighting in the mineshafts. This is an Auto-Lite carbide lamp by the Universal Lamp Company out of Chicago and has a rubber "Bumper Grip" around the bottom, so miners didn't burn themselves while handling it. This one's in pretty decent shape, the brass has some weathering and patina to it. A great addition to any mining enthusiast or historian's collection.
