Second Use invites you to join us for the opening our February Artisan Pop Up featuring the work of craftsman Eric Holder of Slab Art Wood Studio on Saturday, February 16th  from 4-6 PM at our Seattle store.

Since 2007, Slab Art Wood Studio has created live-edge furniture, art, and accessories from reclaimed and salvaged and sustainably sourced wood. Their design style ranges from modern to rustic to edgy, and our individual pieces include dining tables, coffee/accent tables, benches, consoles, tablescapes, shelves, and wood sculpture.

Work will be available at Second Use for the duration of the month while supplies last. Join us for the opening for first dibs and the opportunity to meet the artist!

IN CASE OF SNOW: In the event of snow, this event may be postponed until the following week, but items will be available in store and on www.seconduse.com as soon as regular business hours resume.

About The Artisan:
“I’ve always been a maker, creating intricate plane models at age 12. I also grew up in Japan (Navy brat), where I was fascinated by the woodworking and the general sense of beauty there. I started woodworking as an apprentice cabinet maker and finally took the plunge of founding Slab Art Wood Studio in 2007. My design work enables me to use Japanese elements, including wabi-sabi (valuing the imperfect/old); salvaging trees and working with wood keeps me close to nature. I have 12+ years experience selling my work, both finished pieces and custom: in person (at studio) and also via the website and social media.” – Eric Holder
