Earlier this summer, a group of 11 artists used five Capitol Hill homes to show off their craft. Rather than simply hanging paintings on the wall, they used less conventional methods to display their art, making the house part of the art. The project was named “Mad Homes.”
The main reason the exhibit was possible is because the homes are actually slated for demolition. Developer Point32 will knock down the houses in order to restore and extend the historic BelRoy Apartments.
Fortunately, Second Use was able to have one more go at the houses, after the artists. The field crew was able to salvage windows, cabinets, appliances and some highly coveted fir flooring. We have more than 1,000 square feet in stock, in all different lengths and widths. For more information, give us a call. But don’t wait; it’s going to go fast.
