Antique Aesthetic Movement Bamboo Side Table

$ 125.00

This little bamboo side table very likely dates to the aesthetic movement of the late 19th century! The aesthetic period drew heavily upon art and historic crafts from Asia and the Middle East for Western design, seen here in the rattan construction and kilim-inspired decoration. Its bamboo frame sports the boldly mottled finish typical of the style, and each of the two tiers has a wonderful linoleum surface with a "woven" pattern. The linoleum is heavily worn, but could be removed and replaced or protected with a glass top. This darling is in pretty darn good shape for being well over 100 years old!
