I'm guessing from the American Standard logo on the side of this white porcelain surgeon's sink, that it was made in the late 70's or early 80's. It was born on Dec. 22, but the year didn't get stamped or was flattened out. Needless to say, the sink has no cracks or chips noted and has pretty decent luster yet, but there is some cosmetic scratches and discoloration that didn't come off with a first round of Ajax scrub. It does come with two heavy duty cast iron, cantilever style arms to mount it if you'd like, but more than likely you're going to deck mount or recess it in your counter for use as a farm style kitchen sink or coolest laundry sink in the neighborhood. Width is for the back of the top. If you were to slide it into a notched countertop, you'd need about a 22 1/4" wide opening.
