19th Century Chinese Celadon Vase Lamp

$ 295.00

A Chinese baluster form porcelain vase glazed in celadon, sporting double Foo Dog handles and hand painted blue and white underglaze landscape featuring a bird perched upon a plum branch. The vase is likely late 19th or very early 20th century, converted into a lamp sometime in the mid 20th century. The overall condition is excellent, with only the small, characterful glaze imperfections common with ceramics of this age. It rests on a carved wooden base and comes with a tall silk shade to match. Shade may have some minor cosmetic defects.
