Terredo Hemlock Shelf
$ 25.00
Locally milled & kiln dried. Sanded and sealed with shellac. Mostly Fir and Hemlock, sometimes a few Spruce come in. These have amazing bore channels that come from the notorious teredo clam. These saltwater clams spend their entire lifespan in these logs creating their tunnels, that rarely intersect. The raw stock logs (before milling) originally used as boom surrounds in antiquated timber transport. These logs used to be left to rot in coastal towns before our supplier took it upon himself to repurpose them. Very unique stock, teeming in NW history. Very popular as decorative siding. The number of bore channels varies from board to board, depending on what your project demands. Sorry, no holds on this material.
