A vintage Japanese shamisen body and neck ready to be reassembled by someone ready for a musical project! The neck is traditional Shita (rosewood) and the body appears to be Karin (padauk or Burmese rosewood), both traditional materials for high quality shamisens. Though it's in pieces, there is only minor cosmetic damage to the components and I have no doubt that under the care of a skilled individual, this could become a stunning instrument once more.
