1910 Oak Panel from Capitol Hill
Truly amazing white oak panel that was salvaged with a lot of love and effort from a Capitol Hill home that was built in 1910. It is made out of quarter-sawn oak, with layers of detailed trim work, and gosh it's handsome. We think this would make an excellent queen size headboard.
The home these hail from was extensively redesigned in 1922 by the same architects that did the Seattle Asian Art Museum, also on Cap Hill, for the owner Sherman Grammer (yeah, the Senator). In 1968 the house was featured as the Seattle Symphony Designer Show House.
