5 1/2′ Clawfoot Tub

$ 245.00

Ca. 1930 cast iron, 5 1/2' long clawfoot tub with all four feet that was used as a flower pot. The interior of the tub is quite stained from dirt & has some surface rust as well, but it really doesn't have any huge flaws. There are no chips (has a couple pits, though), the drain area doesn't have rust creeping out from it and the faucet didn't leak until there was a divot under the overflow like what is often seen on clawfoot tubs. I've probably put an hour into scrubbing it up, and it looks a lot better than it did. I don't think you'll ever get its original luster, shine and smoothness back, but with some time and the right chemicals & cleaners (Whink for rust, scrubbing bubbles, bleach, ajax or comet, grandma's secret recipe???), you might still have a relatively good looking clawfoot tub. If I could get this tub clean it would probably be a $600 tub. If you want to give it a shot, it will be a lot less.
