Antique Western Red Cedar

$ 35.00

Antique Western Red Cedar. This lumber was milled (and kiln dried) from reclaimed cedar logs that were used on floats owned by the UW Oceanography Lab in Portage Bay. The logs were submerged from 1920-2007. At the time of its felling the original tree is believed to have been 300 years old. The black stains are due to iron rods leaching into the wood.
