With a few brush strokes, you can give the feeling of spring cleaning in your home. Painting is a relatively inexpensive way to spruce up your place and give it a clean finish. Learn the tips and tricks to a job well done—masking, surface prep and rolling. A few simple tips can save you time, money and mistakes. Reed Painting Company will join Second Use to talk about its novel sustainability efforts and lend a few tips on painting.

May 15, 1-3 p.m.
Hanging Windows

Installing windows can be a tricky task for beginners. However, a few dos and don’ts can make the job high-quality and efficient. Learn how to both remove a window and install a new one.  In the workshop, you will also learn about the different parts of a window and how the parts function together. The West Seattle Tool Library will join to inform you about tool sharing—a unique way to be green and save money.
